Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Data Technician in Minnesota to collect data on outdoor utility and telecommunications facilities. This role involves hiking between pole spans to capture critical measurements for fiber construction projects, with training provided.

The position requires routine overnight travel 1–2 weeks at a time, weekends home, and potential longer stays. Starting pay is $24.50/hour plus bonuses and travel reimbursements, with hotel coverage and living

Qualifications

• Outdoor work experience and comfort in weather conditions.
• Basic GPS/map reading and data collection skills.
• Strong communication and safety awareness in field settings.

Responsibilities

• Collect field data outdoors to support engineering and design of fiber optic facilities.
• Submit organized data including maps, field notes and images for each project.
• Operate and maintain field equipment (tablet, camera, tools, PPE).
• Represent Osmose professionally in the field with customers.
• Communicate daily with the project management team.
