Job summary

Ericsson Inc. is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure in New Albany, Ohio. You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling, testing, and provisioning with a focus on safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in data center operations or IT infra, strong attention to detail, and ability to work with minimal supervision; travel up to 50% and collaboration with cross-functional teams is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, telecommunications, field services, or IT infrastructure support.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking equipment, power distribution, and structured cabling.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, installation documentation, and methods of procedure (MOPs).

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure according to engineering designs and installation documentation.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, and verify power and management connectivity.
• Perform equipment provisioning, hardware component installation, and out-of-band (OOB) management connections.
• Execute basic testing and validation activities including continuity testing and fiber verification; perform MACD and FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory updates, and as-built documentation.
• Identify and elevate design concerns, operational issues, and safety risks to senior technicians or site leadership.
