Job summary

Ericsson Inc. is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure in data center environments. You will perform rack-and-stack tasks, cabling, provisioning, testing, and ongoing support while upholding safety and Ericsson standards.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure, with knowledge of cabling, racks, and power distribution. Onsite role in New Albany, Ohio with travel expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and technical certification or training.
• 1+ years in data center operations, structured cabling, or IT infra.
• Knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking, power systems, and cabling.
• Ability to read engineering docs, installation docs, and MOPs.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy servers, network devices, and storage per designs.
• Route, terminate, and label copper/fiber cabling with proper management.
• Install PDUs, connect to power sources, verify power/connectivity.
• Provision equipment, install components, and manage OOB connections.
• Perform testing: continuity, fiber verification, turn-up procedures.
• Execute MACDs and standard FRU replacements per procedures.
• Keep installation records, test results, and inventory up to date.
• Identify design or safety issues and communicate to senior staff.
