Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure in New Albany, Ohio. The role suits technicians with data center, telecom, or IT background and involves rack-and-stack, cabling, provisioning, testing, and standard field procedures.

You will work independently on deployment and operational tasks, ensuring safety and adherence to Ericsson and customer standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred.
• 1+ year experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support.
• Knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking equipment and power.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and installation documentation.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment and infrastructure.
• Install and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect to power sources and verify connectivity.
• Provision equipment, install hardware components and configure out-of-band management.
• Perform basic testing and validation, including continuity and fiber checks.
• Execute MACD activities and FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory, and as-built docs.
• Identify design concerns or safety risks and escalate as needed.
