Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician in New Albany, Ohio to support installation, operation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure. This role suits technicians with data center ops, structured cabling, or IT infra experience who can perform rack-and-stack, cabling, provisioning, testing, and documentation with safety and quality as priorities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data center operations, cabling, or IT infrastructure
• Ability to interpret installation docs, MOPs, and engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality standards
• Willingness to travel 50%–100% of the time

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage, and related infrastructure per design docs.
• Install and manage copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cabling practices.
• Install PDUs, connect to power sources, and verify power and management connectivity.
• Provision equipment, install components, and manage out-of-band connections.
• Perform basic testing and validation, and execute MACD activities per procedures.
• Maintain accurate installation records, test results, and as-built docs.
• Raise design or safety concerns to seniors or site leadership.
