Job summary

Ericsson Inc. is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation and maintenance of data center infrastructure in New Albany, Ohio. The role suits technicians with data center, telecom, or IT infrastructure experience who can work independently on standard deployment tasks.

You will perform rack-and-stack duties, cabling, equipment provisioning, testing, and ensure safety and quality in line with Ericsson standards.

Qualifications

3+ years of data center operations, structured cabling, field services, or IT infrastructure support experience.
Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking equipment, power distribution systems, and structured cabling.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documentation, and MOPs.

Responsibilities

Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure according to design docs.
Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
Install rack PDUs, connect equipment to power sources and verify power/connectivity.
Perform equipment provisioning, hardware component install, and OOB management connections.
Execute testing and validation activities including continuity testing, fiber verification, and standard turn-up procedures; perform MACDs and FRU replacements.
Maintain installation records, test results, inventory updates, and as-built documentation.
Identify and elevate design, operational, and safety issues to senior technicians or site leadership.
