Job summary

Ericsson Inc. is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure in New Albany, Ohio.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience in data center operations, structured cabling, and IT infrastructure, and can work independently on standard deployment tasks. The role involves rack-and-stack, cabling, equipment provisioning, testing, and documenting work while following Ericsson and customer standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, telecommunications, field services, or IT infrastructure support.
• Experience performing rack-and-stack, cabling, testing, and equipment installation with minimal supervision.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documents, and MOPs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure according to designs and docs.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, verify power and management connectivity.
• Perform equipment provisioning, hardware installation, and OOB management connections.
• Execute basic testing and validation, including continuity tests and fiber verification; perform MACDs and FRU replacements.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory updates, and as-built docs.
