Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure in New Albany, Ohio. You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling, provisioning, testing, and ongoing support while adhering to safety and Ericsson standards.

The role requires a background in data center operations or related IT infrastructure, plus the ability to work independently on standard tasks.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, field services, or IT infrastructure support.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking equipment, power distribution systems, and structured cabling.
• Understanding of copper and fiber cabling practices, basic optical networking concepts, and installation standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documentation, and MOPs.
• Experience performing rack-and-stack, cabling, testing, and equipment installation with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure according to designs and docs.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect to power sources, verify connectivity.
• Perform equipment provisioning and OOB management connections.
• Execute testing, MACD activities, and FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, and as-built docs.
