Job summary

WSP is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Superintendent / Inspector for the Syracuse, NY Field Office, with Albany and Cortland as additional locations. You will provide construction management inspection for multi-trade contracts, monitor quality and safety, and help keep projects on schedule and within budget.

The role involves preparing reports, supervising inspectors, and maintaining thorough project logs. Strong communication, leadership and coordination skills are essential, along with OSHA-30

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction experience on large-scale building projects, including supervision.
• Ability to develop and communicate a project work plan and coordinate trades across multiple phases.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• OSHA-30 certification and commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Willingness to travel as project requirements may call for it.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction management inspection for multi-trade contracts to ensure conformance with contract requirements.
• Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards at various stages and coordinate with Regional Code Officer.
• Ensure timely decisions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Perform inspections, prepare construction reports and supervise inspectors.
• Maintain a written daily log of progress, workforce, materials, deliveries and site issues.
