Job summary

NYS Office of General Services is seeking a field-based Project Supervisor to oversee moderate-sized construction projects in the Cortland Manor and Fishkill areas. The role requires coordination with contractors, reviewers of shop drawings, and oversight of field activities to ensure compliance with contract requirements.

The position focuses on inspections, schedules, and documentation, with an emphasis on timely resolution of design issues and effective project turnover.

Qualifications

• FE examination required with qualifying engineering degree, or FE plus one year of relevant construction supervision experience.
• One year of full-time engineering experience related to construction project supervision of structural and architectural elements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect building construction projects of moderate size and complexity.
• Coordinate the work of contractors and multiple trades to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, schedules, and standards.
• Review contract changes, field/change orders, and time extensions; maintain project records and reports.
