Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, and construction coordination at client sites across heavy industrial projects in the United States.

The role focuses on support for field operations, daily reporting, safety compliance, and progress tracking, with 100% field work and travel. The position requires related experience and appropriate construction management education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience
• Associate degree plus 6 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the site construction lead on the overall field operations including scheduling and daily/quality reports
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and conformity to drawings
• Ensure work adheres to the project schedule; escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with site leadership
• Take progress photographs and label each photograph for records
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports and ensure use of latest design drawings
• Provide support to Project Construction Manager and may supervise key trades or subcontractors
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments for client approval in coordination with the Project Manager
• Maintain clear correspondence with project management and clients on issues
• Maintain on-site records per CDM Smith document control requirements
