Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, seeks an Intermediate Construction Professional to work in the field at a client project site and support field operations. This role covers field engineering, site administration, estimating, scheduling, quality control and safety adherence under general supervision.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the site construction lead, overseeing subcontractors, maintaining records, and producing daily/quality reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience. The associate or bachelor’s degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with the site construction lead on the overall field operations from scheduling, daily reports, QC reports, conformity to drawings and specs, and communication with subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to drawings and intent of the project.
• Ensure work aligns with the project schedule; escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with field leadership and project managers.
• Take progress photos of construction events and properly label them.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revision.
• May assist Project Construction Manager on various tasks.
• May be responsible for key trade/subcontractor support.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments for client approval with Project Manager.
• Provide clear correspondence with project management and clients.

Education
