Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, and coordination on client projects with 100% field work.

Work is performed under general supervision, from the field or office, and duties include coordinating with the site construction lead, preparing daily and quality inspection reports, tracking progress, and ensuring drawings and safety standards are followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience. The associate or bachelor's degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the site construction lead on scheduling, daily reports, quality control reports, conformances to drawings, specifications, and communication with subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure work is safe, correct, and meets quality control measures and the intent of drawings.
• Ensure all work adheres to the established project schedule and escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Write Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with the site construction lead or Project Construction Manager.
• Take progress photographs of construction events and label/identify each photograph.
• Assist site construction lead or Project Construction Manager with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revision for construction.
• Provide assistance to the Project Construction Manager as needed.
• Support key trade/subcontractor activity in service of the project.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments for client approval with the Project Manager.
• Maintain clear and professional correspondence with project management and clients.
