Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to work on a client project site in the field. You will perform field engineering, site administration, design and construction, estimating, quality control, scheduling, and safety direction on assigned projects.

Work is performed under general supervision and may be in the field or office depending on the project.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with the site construction lead on scheduling, daily reports, quality control, conformance to drawings and specifications, and communication with subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure work is safe, correct, and aligns with drawings and quality measures.
• Ensure work adheres to the project schedule; escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Write Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports reviewed with site leadership as record documents.
• Take progress photographs, label them, and maintain proper records.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports for the Project Construction Manager.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revision for construction.
• Provide assistance to the Project Construction Manager as needed.
• May be responsible for key trade or subcontractor support for the project.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments for client approval in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Maintain clear, professional correspondence with project management and clients.
• Maintain on-site records and files per CDM Smith document control requirements.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent + nine (9) years of relevant experience
