Job summary

Stantec seeks an entry level Technical Assistant to support Construction Inspection projects across Pennsylvania. You will review drawings, document construction activities, and assist field teams on major road and bridge projects.

Responsibilities include measuring quantities, ensuring traffic control and erosion controls meet standards, and tracking material certifications. Travel is required to support projects across PA.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or relevant experience can be used in place of diploma.
• Minimum of one (1) year construction inspection experience on major roadway and/or bridge inspection projects is preferred.
• PennDOT and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike experience preferred.
• Willing to completed PennDOT (12) web-based TCI training modules preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings to prepare for the inspection.
• Inspect and document construction activities on major transportation projects.
• Conduct field measurements to establish quantities for pay item documentation.
• Inspect work site for proper traffic control setup.
• Inspect erosion control devices and ensure maintenance and compliance with permits.
• Monitor and record materials certifications in accordance with client procedures.

Education

High School diploma or relevant experience

Minimum of one year construction inspection experience

PennDOT/Pennsylvania Turnpike experience preferred

PennDOT TCI training modules preferred
