Job summary

A consulting firm is looking for a Technical Assistant to support Construction Inspection projects in Pennsylvania. The role requires inspecting construction activities on transportation projects, reviewing drawings, and conducting field measurements. Candidates should have a High School diploma or relevant experience, with at least one year of inspection experience preferred. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring compliance with traffic control and erosion devices in various construction settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of construction inspection experience on major roadway and/or bridge inspection projects is preferred.
• Willing to complete PennDOT (12) web-based TCI training modules preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings to prepare for inspection.
• Inspect and document construction activities on major transportation projects.
• Conduct field measurements for pay item documentation.
• Inspect work site for proper traffic control setup.
• Inspect erosion control devices to ensure compliance.
• Monitor and record materials certifications.
