Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Technical Assistant to support construction inspection projects in Pennsylvania. Entry level and above, you’ll assist in field inspections, review drawings, and help document quantities and traffic control compliance on major road and bridge programs.

You’ll work with a team on complex infrastructure projects from planning through occupancy, gaining exposure to PennDOT processes and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or relevant experience is acceptable.
• 1 year construction inspection experience on major roadway/bridge projects preferred.
• PennDOT and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike experience preferred.
• Willing to complete PennDOT (TCI) training modules.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings to prepare for the inspection.
• Inspect and document construction activities on major transportation projects.
• Conduct field measurements to establish quantities for pay item documentation.
• Inspect work site for proper traffic control setup.
• Inspect erosion control devices and ensure compliance with permits.
• Monitor and record materials certifications in accordance with the client’s procedures.
