Job summary

Stantec in Pennsylvania is seeking a Technical Assistant (TA), entry level to support construction inspection on major transportation projects across PA. You will review drawings, assist inspectors, and help document field measurements and traffic control setups.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or relevant experience; one year of construction inspection is preferred, with PennDOT experience or training encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or relevant experience can be used in place of diploma.
• Minimum of one year construction inspection experience on major roadway/bridge projects is preferred.
• PennDOT and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike experience preferred.
• Willing to complete PennDOT (TCI) training modules preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings to prepare for the inspection.
• Inspect and document construction activities on major transportation projects.
• Conduct field measurements to establish quantities for pay item documentation.
• Inspect work site for proper traffic control setup.
• Inspect erosion control devices, ensure they are maintained and compliant with permits.
• Monitor and record materials certifications in accordance with client procedures.
