Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Technical Assistant (TA) to support construction inspection projects across Pennsylvania. This entry-level role involves assisting in inspections on roadway and bridge sites, with exposure to PennDOT processes and field measurements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or relevant experience required or preferred.
• Minimum of one year construction inspection experience on major roadway/bridge projects preferred.
• PennDOT and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike experience preferred.
• Willing to complete PennDOT (12) web-based TCI training modules preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings to prepare for the inspection.
• Inspect and document construction activities on major transportation projects.
• Conduct field measurements to establish quantities for pay item documentation.
• Inspect work site for proper traffic control setup.
• Inspect erosion control devices, ensure maintenance and permits compliance.
• Monitor and record materials certifications per client procedures.
