Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Technical Assistant (entry level and above) to support construction inspection projects across Pennsylvania, including reviewing drawings and preparing for inspections.

The role involves inspecting and documenting construction activities on major roadways and bridges, performing field measurements for pay items, and ensuring traffic control and erosion-control compliance with permits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year construction inspection experience on major roadway and/or bridge inspection projects preferred.
• PennDOT and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike experience preferred.
• Willing to complete PennDOT (12) web-based TCI training modules preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings to prepare for the inspection.
• Inspect and document construction activities on major transportation projects.
• Conduct field measurements to establish quantities for pay item documentation.
• Inspect work site for proper traffic control setup.
• Inspect erosion control devices and ensure compliance with permits.
• Monitor and record materials certifications per client procedures.
