Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to join field operations on client projects in the United States. You will perform field engineering, site administration, estimating, quality control, scheduling, and safety adherence under general supervision.

Work may occur at field sites or in an office, with travel across project locations and collaboration with subcontractors, project managers, and clients to ensure drawings, specs, and budgets

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting and coordinating with the site construction lead on the overall field operations from scheduling to daily reports and quality control.
• Oversees subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and alignment with drawings.
• Ensures work adheres to the project schedule and escalates delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Writes Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review and records.
• Takes progress photographs of construction events and labels each photograph.
• Assists with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensures contractors use the latest design drawing revision for construction.
• May provide assistance to the Project Construction Manager.
• May manage key trade/subcontractor in support of the project.
• Prepares contract extras and progress payments for client approval with the Project Manager.
• Maintains clear, professional correspondence with management and clients.
• Maintains on-site records and files per document control requirements.
• Follows the Quality Policy Statement and Quality Systems Work Instructions.
