Job summary

Thompson Tractor Company, Inc. is seeking a Connectivity Specialist to install and service Product Link hardware on CAT and customer machines in the field. You will work with the Customer Solutions team to plan and execute connectivity projects and troubleshooting.

You must diagnose hardware and software issues, coordinate with sales and service teams, and provide hands-on support to TTCo technicians. Occasional travel and training are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with Thompson Tractor operating system.
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good computer skills and basic typing.
• Customer service mindset and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Install Product Link hardware on CAT & competitive equipment for tracking & monitoring.
• Diagnose and repair Product Link systems to maintain reporting status and data transfer.
• Collaborate with Earthmoving Sales, Service, & Product Support on subscriptions and hardware needs.
• Provide technical support on Product Link hardware for TTCo technicians.
• Serve as hardware/software specialist for CAT Connectivity Projects and related tasks.
• Order, collect, and account for rolling inventory for installations and repairs.
• Familiar with CAT Applications: VIMSpc, Electronic Technician, Equipment Data, SIS2.0, Digital Service Portal, VisionLink Apps.
• Open, populate and close service calls in AX and apply service letters and warranties to calls.
• Attend virtual and field training on Product Link systems and integrations.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and CAT on hardware concerns.
