Thompson Machinery is hiring a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain Caterpillar diesel-powered construction equipment across the region. You’ll operate largely from a field service truck and service sites and shops, with occasional overnight travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical training preferred.
• Minimum five years’ diagnostics experience on construction equipment.
• Strong engine and hydraulic troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repair on Caterpillar equipment.
• Travel region, work independently or with customer locations and shops.
• Communicate with customers to provide excellent service and ensure value.
