Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services is seeking an intermediate level Field Technician responsible for operating compressor packages, gas processes, and rental equipment. You will diagnose issues, backfill other field roles, and contribute to location policies and forecasts.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting, and the ability to work in a heavy equipment environment. Candidates should have a high school diploma and relevant field experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• SSE program completion preferred; 1–2 years in entry level Field Technician role.
• 3+ years total compression/production experience and/or training.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills; strong mechanical aptitude.
• Possess knowledge of compressor packages and relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates job activities per Kodiak procedures and objectives.
• Troubleshoot complex repairs and major equipment overhauls and operation.
• Builds and maintains customer relationships.
• Communicates parts and inventory needs to Supply Chain for optimal performance.
• Maintains 98%+ mechanical availability of equipment; adheres to HSE protocols.
• Provides 24/7 coverage; works overtime and on-call rotations.
• Other tasks as assigned.
