Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services seeks an entry-level compressor operator to assist with running compression jobs and operating compressor packages. You will support engineering and field teams, troubleshoot basic issues, and help ensure 98% or better mechanical availability.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and some hands-on gas process or equipment experience, with strong teamwork and communication skills. 24/7 coverage and on-call shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred OEM, trade school or comparable work experience.
• Completion of Kodiak’s SSE program is a plus.
• 1 year compression process, production or equipment experience/training.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills preferred.
• Basic knowledge of compressor packages and systems.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Assist in running compression jobs and operate compressor packages.
• Provide feedback for location operating policies and material forecasts.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and build troubleshooting skills.
• Attend HSE meetings and adhere to HSE protocols.
• Communicate needs with Supply Chain.
• Maintain units in clean, presentable condition and ensure reports are completed.
• Provide 24/7 coverage; overtime and on-call rotations.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
