Job summary

STIHL Inc. in Boise, ID seeks a driven Commercial Solutions Specialist to join our field-based sales team. You’ll work with dealers and commercial customers to demonstrate gas and battery solutions, build relationships, and close sales.

This outside sales role requires travel up to 75%, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 1–3 years of sales prospecting, and strong communication skills. Relocation may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience preferred
• 1-3 years of sales prospecting experience preferred
• Travel may be up to 75%
• Must be a self-starter and able to perform well with minimal supervision
• Spanish language skills preferred but not required
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to champion and utilize OneCRM, SAP as needed
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation delivery

Responsibilities

• Visit strategic commercial and municipal accounts to increase STIHL sales via demos, training and feature comparisons
• Identify and prospect new commercial and municipal accounts by targeting those with competitive products to convert them to STIHL
• Develop and deliver product training programs to diverse customers including landscapers, loggers and contractors
• Attend and support STIHL and regional trade shows, trainings and dealer events to promote STIHL and services
• Maintain CRM and field reports, track competitor and quality issues, manage expense reports and emails
• Attend sales meetings and dealer training meetings and other required sessions
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
