Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is seeking a Collections Specialist to locate and contact customers with delinquent accounts and secure payments. You will review terms, document communications, and post payments to accounts.

Travel to customer locations may be required to collect and support repossessions with approval. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least six months in payment collections or office procedures, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; six months experience in payment collections or general office procedures.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License.
• Proficient with using a computer, printer, calculator, phone and basic software; able to log activities and document communications.

Responsibilities

• Sends messages and letters to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
• Confer with customers by text or phone to determine reason for overdue payment and review terms.
• Document all correspondence and attempts of payment activity.
• Receive payments and post amounts to customer accounts.
• Travel to customers’ homes to collect payments and assist with repossessions if approved.
