Farmers Furniture in Dayton, TN is seeking a Credit/Collections Associate to locate, notify, and secure payments from customers with delinquent accounts. You will contact customers by text, phone, or mail, review terms of sale and credit agreements, and document every communication.

The role includes receiving payments, balancing cash, traveling to customers’ homes when needed, and preparing paperwork for potential legal action.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; six months experience in payment collections or general office procedures.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License.
• Ability to review terms of sales and credit contracts with customers.

Responsabilités

• Sends text messages, mails form letters and late notices to encourage payment.
• Confer with customers by text or phone to determine reason for overdue payment and review terms.
• Documents all correspondence and attempts, receives payments, and posts to accounts.
• Travels to customers’ homes as required to collect on late payments and assist with repossessions when approved.
• Prepares paperwork for potential legal action and initiates credit investigations under direction.
• Logs work activities daily, weekly, and monthly; supports store operations on the sales floor.
