Job summary

Farmers Furniture is seeking a collections associate to locate, notify, and secure payments from customers with delinquent accounts. This role may travel to customers’ homes and handle related paperwork, documentation, and CRM updates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; six months in payment collections or office procedures.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License.
• Ability to document communications and manage cash handling when needed.

Responsibilities

• Sends notices and communicates with customers to secure payments on delinquent accounts.
• Confers with customers by text/phone to review terms and gain payment.
• Documents all correspondence and attempted collections.
• Receives payments and posts them to accounts; balances cash drawer daily.
• Travel to customer homes to collect payments and assist with repossessions when approved.
• Prepare paperwork prior to initiating legal action for severely delinquent accounts.
• Logs work activities daily, weekly, and monthly; uses CRM for service requests.
