Nationwide is seeking a Field Claims Specialist II for its National Catastrophe Property team. This is a field-based role supporting Personal Lines nationwide, handling major loss events with on-site investigations and customer-focused service.

You will travel up to 80% and often on short notice, assess damages, determine coverages, and guide policyholders through the claims process with empathy and professionalism. The role requires CAT experience and proficiency with Xactimate.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is required or preferred.
• Three to five years of property claims experience or related experience.
• Experience using Xactimate for estimating.
• Experience working on-site in catastrophe (CAT) environments.

Responsabilités

• Conduct on-site property inspections and damage assessments.
• Investigate and resolve moderate to complex property claims from start to finish.
• Determine policy coverages and prepare estimates using tools like Xactimate.
• Own the full lifecycle of claims, including reserving, supplements, and documentation.
• Partner with internal teams (e.g., Special Investigations, Subrogation) as needed.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and internal standards while ensuring timely resolutions.
• Provide proactive, consistent updates to customers throughout the claims process.
