Job summary

DRMP is hiring Transportation Technicians and CEI Inspectors at all levels in North Carolina. You will support engineers and inspection teams via field inspection, material sampling, testing, and documentation, with opportunities for mentoring and career growth.

Most work occurs at project sites with some home-office assignments. Responsibilities vary by level and include field tests, calculations, and reporting, plus adherence to safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 4+ years construction inspection experience.
• AA Civil Engineering Tech plus 2+ years construction inspection experience.
• Candidates evaluated against specific client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction activities for compliance with plans, specs, and standards.
• Perform field tests and collect material samples for lab testing.
• Prepare daily diaries and reports documenting activities and progress.
• Maintain field books, logs, and pay documentation.
• Measure and verify dimensions, elevations, and quantities.
• Perform calculations and prepare supporting docs for payments and estimates.
• Enter and review project data using computers and tablets.
• Communicate clearly with project personnel and report deficiencies.
