Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Patient Access Liaison (PAL) to support patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and sites of care in navigating insurance coverage and reimbursement pathways for Amgen therapies.

The PAL works in a field-based role, partnering with internal teams to address payer requirements, prior authorization barriers, and access challenges while ensuring timely access to therapy and education on coverage considerations.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or equivalent in a relevant field with required experience.
• Experience in patient services and/or access and/or reimbursement.
• Understanding of payer policies and prior authorization requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient access and reimbursement support for infused/specialty therapies.
• Engage with patients and caregivers by phone, virtual, and in person.
• Educate providers and sites of care on coverage pathways and reimbursement processes.
• Investigate and resolve access challenges and denied claims; escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, and other teams to support patient access.
