Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Patient Access Liaison (PAL) to support patients and providers in navigating insurance coverage and reimbursement pathways for Amgen therapies. This field-based role requires navigating prior authorizations, coding and billing considerations, and patient education.

You will partner with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, and Case Management to address access challenges and ensure timely therapy access. Travel up to 50% is required to support sites of care.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 2+ years of patient services or access/reimbursement experience for Level 5 or 4+ years for Level 6.
• Understand HIPAA and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support patient access and reimbursement for infused and specialty therapies.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and providers on coverage and prior authorization requirements.
• Navigate insurance processes and resolve access barriers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patient access initiatives.
• Document activities accurately in internal systems.
