Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Patient Access Liaison (PAL) to support patients, caregivers, and providers with insurance navigation and reimbursement for Amgen therapies. This field-based role partners with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, and other teams to streamline coverage pathways and education.

Responsibilities include prior authorization support, appeals, and assistance with copay programs, while ensuring HIPAA-compliant communication and timely access to therapy across assigned geography.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, or Master’s with 2 years of patient services and/or access and reimbursement experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of patient services and/or access and reimbursement experience.
• Associate’s degree with 8 years of patient services and/or access and/or reimbursement experience.
• High school diploma with 10 years of patient services and/or access and/or reimbursement experience.
• Experience supporting buy-and-bill or infused therapies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient access and reimbursement support for infused and specialty therapies.
• Assist patients, caregivers, and providers with benefits navigation and prior authorization.
• Educate providers and sites of care on reimbursement pathways and coding considerations.
• Resolve access barriers and manage denied claims, escalating when needed.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, Case Management, and Site of Care teams.
• Maintain compliant documentation and privacy practices in line with regulations.
