Job summary

ICF is seeking an Account Specialist - Home Energy Advisor(Field-Based) in San Diego, CA. This role bridges technical execution and participant support, managing residential retrofit and remodel projects while engaging with diverse communities.

Responsibilities include coordinating with cross-functional teams, overseeing contractor work, and maintaining clear stakeholder communication. A reliable vehicle for local travel (25%–40%) is required and mileage is reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (e.g., Energy, Sustainability, Business, Agriculture, Environmental Science) or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in energy efficiency, utilities, construction, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for program participants throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead and oversee residential retrofit and remodel projects from planning through completion.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless information flow and collaboration.
• Manage contractor relationships, ensuring accountability, quality, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and progress evaluations.
• Assist in preparing and finalizing scopes of work for each participant.
• Review and interpret residential building codes to ensure compliance.
• Support stakeholder engagement through regular updates, discussions, and alignment on goals.
