Job summary

ICF is seeking a Construction Project Manager in San Diego, CA to lead residential retrofit and remodel projects under the SoCal EBD program, coordinating contractors, ensuring codes compliance, and delivering high-quality energy-efficiency initiatives.

The CPM will travel up to 25% within Southern CA, manage risk, maintain documentation, and engage with homeowners and teams to advance decarbonization goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or substitutable experience)
• 5+ years in Construction Management, Residential Building Retrofits, Energy Efficiency Upgrades, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical
• Valid driver’s license and pass MVR check

Responsibilities

• Lead residential efficiency and electrification retrofit projects from planning through completion.
• Manage contractor relationships with accountability for quality and timelines.
• Review and interpret residential building codes to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and progress evaluations.
• Coordinate and communicate with homeowners, contractors, and internal teams.
