Fastenal Co. is seeking a Full-time Sales Associate at our Elkridge, MD location to build relationships with local businesses and drive branch sales.

You will use a consultative approach to explain inventory management solutions, pursue new partnerships, and grow existing accounts through referrals and outreach.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age and valid driver’s license.
• Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations or related field OR relevant experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong sales aptitude and customer-service orientation.
• Self-motivated with strong organization.
• Strong math aptitude and attention to detail.
• Able to lift 25–75 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Supporting B2B sales and customer service activities
• Providing value through consultative sales approach
• Developing new and growing existing relationships from leads, referrals and prospecting
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer service needs
• Performing local sales calls driving a company vehicle to customer sites
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success
