Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Reading, PA seeks a full-time Sales Associate to drive customer relationships and sales in an industrial supply environment. You will support B2B customers, present inventory management solutions, and partner with the branch team to meet goals.

This is a full-time on-site role with potential schedule flexibility after onboarding and performance milestones, plus comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within Fastenal.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving requirements.
• Pursuing or holding a degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Management or related field OR relevant customer service/industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills and aptitude for sales.
• Self-motivated, customer service oriented, with strong organizational abilities.
• Demonstrate ability to lift/move packages weighing 25–50 lbs (up to 75 lbs).
• Pass the required drug screen where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Supporting B2B sales and customer service activities.
• Providing value through a consultative sales approach.
• Developing new and growing existing relationships from leads, referrals and prospecting.
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer service needs.
• Performing local sales calls and driving a company vehicle to customer sites.
• Performing other duties to ensure branch success.
