Job summary

KNAPP is seeking a maintenance technician to rectify electro‑mechanical faults, respond to customer emergencies, and perform preventive maintenance on precision automation equipment. The role requires strong calibration and troubleshooting skills and a focus on safety and quality documentation.

Responsibilities include on‑site setup, training customer maintenance teams, and coordinating with KNAPP Spare Parts to ensure timely repairs and customer satisfaction. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Automation or equivalent.
• 0–3 years direct experience in repairs on machinery systems (electrical/mechanical).
• Knowledge of 480VAC, 240VAC, 120VAC, 48VDC, 24VDC, VFDs and PLCs (Siemens preferred).
• Theoretical and practical experience with repair, troubleshooting and maintenance of automated systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Rectify electro‑mechanical faults and provide specialist technical assistance.
• Respond to emergency calls by customers and provide rapid support.
• Set up and calibrate precision automation equipment and machines.
• Maintain safety procedures and quality documentation for reports.
• Train customers’ maintenance teams and provide on‑site guidance.
• Collaborate with on-site management and KNAPP Spare Parts teams as needed.
• Interact with customers to ensure timely repair progress and clear communication.
• Work with hand tools, assemble components, and read assembly drawings.
