Job summary
Oxford Nanopore Technologies is seeking a commercially focused Field Applications Scientist to join our Technical Services team. The role is field-based across the Southern Plains region with up to 70% travel, collaborating with Sales and cross-functional teams to drive technology adoption and customer success.
You will deliver pre- and post-sales technical support, training, and workshops, document interactions in CRM, and translate complex genomics workflows into actionable customer solutions
Qualifications
- Commercially focused scientist with strong customer-facing skills.
- Ability to translate complex biology into practical customer solutions.
- Experience supporting pre- and post-sales activities and training.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales to support opportunities and provide technical expertise throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Deliver pre-sales and post-sales technical support, training, and troubleshooting.
- Build and maintain strong technical relationships to drive adoption of ONT technologies.
- Deliver presentations, workshops, and training to diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with Technical Services, Sales, Product Management, Marketing and other teams to achieve objectives.
- Develop engagement plans for strategic accounts aligned to customer needs.
