Job summary
Oxford Nanopore Technologies is seeking a commercially focused Field Applications Scientist to join our Technical Services team. This field-based role supports the Southern Plains territory with significant travel, partnering with Sales to drive opportunities and ensure customer success with ONT workflows.
The role requires PhD in Life Sciences or MSc with relevant experience, strong molecular biology/genomics background, and excellent communication skills to deliver technical training and
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in life sciences or equivalent with customer exposure.
- Experience in NGS workflows and sequencing.
- Strong scientific communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including consultations, workflow discussions, training, and troubleshooting.
- Deliver technical guidance and build relationships across the customer lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Marketing and other teams to meet customer and business objectives.
- Develop and execute engagement plans for strategic accounts aligned to customer needs.
- Document customer interactions and support activities in CRM systems.
