Job summary

Sartorius is seeking a Field Application Specialist to drive application, implementation, qualification and use of Separation technologies (NFF, TFF, UF/DF) for customers in MD, VA, and nearby regions. The role blends technical consulting, demonstrations, and trials to accelerate adoption.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in bioprocessing, strong knowledge of TFF/UF/DF/NFF, and hands-on ability with demos, training, and troubleshooting. Travel >50% and lifting up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 3+ years in process development, MSAT, bioprocessing in biotech or biopharma industries.
• In-depth knowledge (1+ years) in TFF, UF/MF/DF, NFF, Viral Filtration and Clarification; able to optimize and scale processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical and application-related issues in customer environments.
• Hands-on technical capability for demos, trials, evaluations and training.

Responsibilities

• Support customer evaluations and provide technical consultations by translating requirements into product/workflow recommendations.
• Design, coordinate and document customer-specific evaluation plans and outcomes.
• Troubleshoot customer processes and coordinate corrective actions with relevant functions.
• Contribute technical insights and solution recommendations to opportunities and portfolio enhancements.
• Capture feedback and competitive intelligence to inform Product Management.
• Support training of field specialists and sales teams on technologies and processes.
• Ensure customer training on new technologies and assist in start-up operations.
• Assist Quality in investigation of complaints and provide monthly territory activity reports.
