Job summary

Phoenix Contact is seeking a Field Application Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for marking and installation products in the industrial automation sector. You will work with regional sales teams, account managers, and engineering to drive cabinet efficiency opportunities and expand market penetration.

The role covers the Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona region, requires travel, and emphasizes customer relationships, hands-on demos, and effective use of Phoenix

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree.
• Technical discipline preferred and/or equivalent industry experience.
• 2 years minimum sales or marketing experience with automation and industrial control products.
• Ability to work independently from home office and communicate effectively with colleagues with limited supervision.
• Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

• Increase annual sales revenue across all products directly associated with the cabinet efficiency portfolio at customer accounts.
• Coordinate with local Phoenix Contact sales team using joint sales activities, trainings, and mutual action plans.
• Act as the local technical representative for power-related technical matters.
• Develop and deliver sales tools, collateral and campaigns.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to facilitate new business.
• Maintain and update CRM with accurate client information and use it for reporting and tracking.
