Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a 3D scanning technician to perform handheld scans of rebar, embeds, and equipment across construction sites. You will capture, verify, and process data on-site, then deliver meshes and reports that clients can use for decisions.

Responsibilities include managing scan quality, converting data to CAD formats, and creating measurement and crack maps. Travel to regional hubs and sites is required; a valid driver's license is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating handheld structured-light or laser scanners on real projects.
• Working knowledge of Artec Studio or similar scan-processing software.
• Familiarity with reading structural or fabrication drawings.
• Comfortable on active construction sites and in industrial plants.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of structures and components before pours and during fabrication.
• Verify capture completeness on site and process scans in Artec Studio.
• Produce deviation maps, measurement reports, and scan-to-CAD outputs for clients.
• Coordinate access, safety, and travel to regional hubs as assigned.
• Maintain equipment, calibration records, and chain of custody documentation.
