Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a 3D scanning technician to operate handheld scanners on diverse construction projects, verify data on site, and deliver ready-to-use meshes, reports, and scan-to-CAD files. You will process data in Artec Studio and coordinate access and safety with site personnel.

Travel to regional hubs is required. You should have hands-on scanning experience, CAD reading skills, and the ability to work outdoors on active sites.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating handheld 3D scanners on real projects.
• Ability to verify capture on site before leaving the location.
• Familiarity with scan processing and exporting to standard formats.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of rebar, embeds, pipes, and structures.
• Process scans in Artec Studio including registration, fusion, and mesh cleanup.
• Produce deviation maps, measurement reports, and scan-to-CAD files.
• Coordinate access, permits, and safety with site contacts; travel as assigned.
