Construction Material Testing seeks a skilled 3D scanning technician to operate handheld scanners on diverse projects—from rebar mats to corroded pipe spools. You will capture on-site data, verify scans, and process with Artec Studio, delivering meshes, reports, and scan-to-CAD outputs for client use.

You should have hands-on scanner experience, CAD-reading ability, and a valid driver’s license. Willingness to travel regionally is required as part of this growing service line.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating a handheld 3D scanner on real projects.
• Proficient in Artec Studio for mesh cleanup, registration, and export.
• Read and interpret CAD drawings (SolidWorks, Fusion, Inventor, Revit).
• Comfortable on active construction sites and in industrial plants; able to carry equipment and travel.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of structures and components before pours or after damage.
• Control drift on large objects with reference features and overlapping zones.
• Verify data capture on site before leaving.
• Process scans in Artec Studio and export to STL/OBJ/E57 and CAD formats.
• Produce deviation maps, measurement reports, and anchor bolt coordinates against drawings.
