Construction Material Testing is seeking a 3D scanning technician to capture handheld scans using Artec Leo and related hardware. You will validate data on-site, process it in Artec Studio, and deliver mesh, point cloud, and CAD-ready outputs for clients across construction projects.

The role requires on-site work, travel to regional hubs, and the ability to carry equipment on varied sites. Prior experience with scan-to-CAD and CAD reading is essential; we sponsor relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating a handheld scanner on real projects; bring examples.
• Working knowledge of Artec Studio or comparable scan-processing software.
• Familiarity with CAD and reading structural or fabrication drawings.
• Comfortable on active construction sites and in industrial plants; able to carry equipment and work outdoors.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable record; willing to travel and fly with equipment.
• Experience with scan-to-CAD or metrology reporting is a plus; certifications are sponsored.

Responsabilités

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of rebar and embeds before concrete placement and other structures.
• Control drift on large objects with reference features and overlapping zones.
• Verify capture completeness on site before leaving.
• Process scans in Artec Studio: registration, fusion, mesh cleanup, texture, and export formats.
• Produce deviation maps, reports, and anchor bolt coordinates against drawings or CAD.
• Build scan-to-CAD solids (STEP/IGES) for reverse engineering and fit-up checks.
• Document capture procedures and safety with project records.
• Coordinate access and safety with superintendents and plant contacts.
• Travel to regional hubs as assigned.
