Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a 3D scanning technician to operate handheld Artec Leo across diverse field projects. You will capture data on site, verify scans, process with Artec Studio, and deliver meshes, point clouds, and CAD-ready files for client use.

You will help control drift, verify capture completeness, and generate reports, while traveling to regional hubs as needed. Training and certifications are encouraged and sponsored.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating handheld 3D scanners on real projects.
• Working knowledge of Artec Studio and scan processing tools.
• Ability to read CAD drawings and fabrication plans.
• Comfort on active construction sites and physical work.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel by plane or car.
• Experience with scan-to-CAD workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute handheld scans of rebar, embeds, and structures before pours.
• Control drift and ensure data completeness on site.
• Process scans in Artec Studio and export to STL/OBJ/E57/CAD formats.
• Produce deviation maps, reports, and coordinate references with CAD drawings.
• Create scan-to-CAD solids or clean meshes for modeling teams.
• Document capture procedures and maintain chain-of-custody records.
