Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a trained handheld 3D scanning technician to capture data on concrete, steel, and industrial assets. You will operate Artec Leo and other scanners, process data in Artec Studio, and deliver CAD-ready meshes and reports to clients.

You must have hands-on scanner experience, CAD-reading skills, and a valid driver's license. The role involves field work at construction sites, with travel to regional hubs as assigned and time on client sites across the Gulf Coast

Qualifications

• Operate handheld 3D scanners (Artec Leo, Eva, Space Spider, FARO) on real projects.
• Read and interpret CAD drawings and related fabrication documents.
• Willingness to travel and work on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute handheld scans of rebar, embeds, pipes, and structures.
• Control drift using reference features and overlapping zones.
• Verify capture completeness on site before leaving.
• Process scans in Artec Studio: registration, fusion, cleanup, export.
• Produce deviation maps and coordinate reports against drawings.
• Travel to regional hubs and job sites as assigned.
