Construction Material Testing is seeking a trained handheld 3D scanning technician to capture data on rebar, embeds, and complex assemblies on active construction sites. You will verify scans on-site, process data in Artec Studio, and deliver mesh/point-cloud exports suitable for CAD workflows.

The role requires hands-on scanner experience, familiarity with CAD drawings, and the ability to travel to project sites with equipment. Training and safety protocols are provided on site.

Formación

• Hands-on experience operating a handheld 3D scanner (Artec Leo, Eva, Space Spider, or equivalent) on real projects.
• Working knowledge of Artec Studio or similar scan-processing software; mesh cleanup and registration.
• Familiarity with CAD drawings and reading structural/fabrication drawings.
• Comfortable on active construction sites and in industrial plants; able to carry equipment and travel.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable record; ability to travel with equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and execute handheld scans of rebar, embeds, and structures before pours.
• Control drift on large objects using reference features and overlap techniques.
• Verify capture completeness on site before leaving.
• Process scans in Artec Studio: registration, fusion, mesh cleanup, texturing, export to STL/OBJ/E57/CAD.
• Produce deviation maps, reports, and anchor bolt coordinates against drawings; create scan-to-CAD solids or clean meshes for modeling.
• Document capture procedures, equipment settings, and chain-of-custody for forensic matters.
• Coordinate access, permits, safety with site contacts; travel to regional hubs as assigned.
